The MLM and Network Marketing industry is a lot older than I thought!
Do you remember learning about Madame CJ Walker back in grade school or Black History Month trivia?
She’s in the Guinness Book of World Records as the first self-made American woman millionaire, who neither inherited or married into money.
She built a very successful health and beauty company in the 1890s that primarily sold hair care products.
What they never told you, however, is that she built her millions by pioneering a “network marketing” sales model…
She basically invented direct sales!
She died a multi-millionaire in 1919 when the cost of a gallon of milk was only 62 cents!
Not only did her business make her very wealthy, but it also helped others earn an extraordinary living! She paid “representatives” for referring people and the top sales agents were making more money than most middle-class Americans at the time!
This is the only industry where the only “glass ceilings” are moon roofs, Mondays feel like Fridays, pay raises are up to you, and your customers can make money with the company too!
Shout out to all my entrepreneurs and network marketers out there!
If you think you can’t do it, TRY IT anyway and see first! If she could do it at a time where all the odds were stacked against her… so can you! If she can amass a million-dollar fortune by word-of-mouth, so can you!
If you are already in business and having a tough time staying motivated, get back to the basics of why you got started. Map out a plan and work your plan until the plan no longer needs you!
