Are Americans Actually Afraid of Freedom??

One of the biggest obstacles that people face when starting their own business is getting over feeling shy or embarrassed to let others know that they are indeed “in business”.  This can be a two-way street where potential new partners are shy or embarrassed to ask you for more information in what you are selling or to ask how they can get started.

Well Folks, SMALL BUSINESSES RUN AMERICA!

It is an everyday occurrence that people are starting business and offering products and services that benefit their network of friends and family.

In fact, I could dare argue that if you do not run a small business, you are un-American.  Think about it… People come thousands of miles from other countries, leaving their families behind, to come HERE in pursuit of the “American Dream” and to get their piece of the “American Pie” by starting their own business.  The government even gives business owners tax-breaks and grants to start a business.  America was indeed founded by entrepreneurs and taking over the family business used to be a right of passage for far more than you might see today.

I think the problem is that we all have gotten so caught up in the rat-race of working for others that some have forgotten that we are supposed to only do that until we can learn the trade and open up our own shop!

Small businesses help the community by keeping the money in-town, and also the taxes generated by those dollars help improve your roads, parks and public utilities.  By shopping at Wal-mart, for example, your money goes over-seas and leaves the American tax base.

Me, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit, ever since I could remember selling candy and snacks at lunch time lol.  But, as I got older and found out how much it costs to open up shop I realized how much I’d have to invest just to get started and it was a HUGE hurdle! I’d have to pay for my business/franchise license, the building, the signs, tables, chairs, utilities, equipment, raw materials and don’t forget employees! I’d have to work 80 weeks to make sure that every one was doing what they were supposed to do to help the business run smoothly.  Then after a year, I would have a 50% chance of still being in business or I’d be in a heap of debt and would have to sell off any assets.

Thank goodness for network marketing!  Now, anyone that has entrepreneurial spirit can start a business for less than $50 bucks.  Robert Kiyosaki has called this the business of the 21st Century and even wrote a book about it in addition to his best seller, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”.  Donald Trump and Russell Simmons also personally endorse network marketing, and I doubt there are are a handful of people that know more about business that those 2.  Even Jim Cramer, from Mad Money, noticed a spike in direct sales (network marketing sales) when retail sales plummeted during our most recent recession!

Think about it like this, how many times have you recommended a product or service that a friend or family member went out and purchased?  Then think about how many other people found out about that product all because of that person that you referred.  Now, think about all the money that that company has paid you for you referring all those people… depressing ain’t it?  Well this is the genius behind being a network marketer! I get paid, not only for people that I refer to a product or service, but also when they go out and refer others. Think about the thousands of people I will have brought the company starting with a only a dozen. Now I’m getting paid for each one on a monthly basis.  I also get tax-breaks just like any other business owner!

All that to say this, don’t be afraid of FREEDOM… it is what makes America, America!  If you don’t have a business system, hit the lotto, or are born into wealth… chances are you will never be financially free but that will ultimately be no one’s fault but your own.  We can all dream of being actors, entertainers or signing a basketball contracts, but this is something you can do while you perfect your skills! Don’t give up on those dreams but be realistic and have a legitimate backup plan.

If you have any questions about starting your own team of entrepreneurs and customers, ask!

Now, back to the money…
